Good Neighbor Construction Inc. (“Good Neighbor Construction,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a licensed California general contractor, CSLB #1134435, Class B General Building. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors to gn-construction.com and from people who contact us through our website, our booking system, or our ads, and how we use and protect that information.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a consultation, book an appointment, call or text us, or submit a form on Facebook or Instagram, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, the address of the property you want work done on, and details about your project such as the type of work, your timeline, and your goals.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at our site, and similar technical information, through cookies and analytics tools.
We do not ask for and do not want Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or payment card numbers through our website or our ad forms.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and answer questions about your project.
- To schedule and confirm consultations and site visits.
- To prepare proposals and estimates, and to plan and carry out work you hire us for.
- To send you information about your project, your appointment, or your job in progress.
- To keep records required for licensing, permitting, insurance, warranty, and tax purposes.
- To understand how our website and advertising perform so we can improve them.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your project or your appointment. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, or by telling us in any other way that you would prefer we not text you.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as our website host, our scheduling and customer management software, our email provider, and our analytics and advertising providers. These companies may only use the information to provide services to us.
- Subcontractors, suppliers, designers, engineers, and permitting agencies when that information is needed to plan, price, permit, or build your project.
- When the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims, or to protect the safety of any person.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including tools from Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure how our site is used and how our advertising performs. These tools may allow those companies to show you our ads on their platforms and on other websites.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through our pages, including scrolling, mouse movement and clicks, so that we can find pages that are confusing or broken. Clarity is configured to mask text that people type into form fields. Microsoft explains how it handles that data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
You can control this in several ways. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com, and manage Facebook and Instagram ad settings in your Meta account settings.
Information submitted through Facebook and Instagram
If you fill out a form inside a Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta collects your responses and passes them to us. Meta’s own handling of that information is governed by Meta’s privacy policy. Once we receive your information, this policy applies to it.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and customer records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our legal, licensing, warranty, insurance, and tax obligations. We delete or archive records once they are no longer needed for those purposes.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can access it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to ask us to tell you what personal information we have collected about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and the right to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. As stated above, we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.
Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
